FILTER-Coffee Parlor

FILTER – Coffee Parlor is an artisanal coffee shop located at 1927 11th Ave South in Birmingham’s Five Points South neighborhood, opened on January 7, 2019, by co-founders James Little and Jill Marlar. The shop sources ethically farmed, high-quality coffees from distinguished roasters such as Amavida Roasters, Prevail Union, and Onyx Coffee Labs, while also offering teas, specialty drinks, and local seasonal food. Now under the ownership of Jeremie and Leigh Kirkwood, FILTER remains a community-centered gathering space, hosting programming, live music, and pop-up events that foster connection among Birmingham residents.
