Heritage Coffee

Heritage Coffee is a community-focused coffee shop located at 400 19th Street in the historic Ensley Business District of Birmingham, Alabama, inside the landmark Cotton’s building. Founded in 2017 as a pop-up coffee service, the shop grew into a brick-and-mortar café with a mission rooted in building relationships and revitalizing the Ensley neighborhood. Owned and operated by Josh Brenneman — whose background includes disaster relief work following Hurricane Katrina and the 2011 Alabama tornadoes — Heritage Coffee offers freshly made coffee drinks, house specials, smoothies, and snacks in a warm, intimate setting designed to bring the community together.
