Modern Grind is a locally owned drive-thru coffee and health drink shop located at 13044 W. Rancho Santa Fe Blvd in Avondale, Arizona, founded by Daphnie Kelly — a coffee lover and farm-raised Washington State native — with a vision to offer high-quality, locally sourced beverages while raising funds to donate to teacher and youth programs. The shop serves locally roasted espresso, signature lattes, real fruit smoothies, energy infusions, breakfast sandwiches, and burritos, and has grown from $8,000 in revenue in 2020 to high six figures. Modern Grind has been recognized as Best of the Best Coffee in the West Valley for two consecutive years and remains a community-centered destination dedicated to celebrating and supporting local businesses and families.
