About

Frida Café is a vibrant, culturally inspired coffee shop in downtown Fresno, California, founded by Fresno native Albee Sanchez and rooted in the artistry and spirit of Mexican painter Frida Kahlo. The café offers a modern take on the classic Mexican “panadería,” pairing handcrafted specialty espresso drinks and colorful pan dulces with bold, Kahlo-inspired décor. Originally opened inside the historic Los Panchos Mexican Restaurant on Fulton Street, Frida Café later relocated to Fresno’s iconic Old Fresno Water Tower, where Sanchez has continued his mission of celebrating Mexican culture and contributing to the revitalization of downtown Fresno.
