Founded in 2020 by Ming Wood and Mabel Yeung, Moonwake Coffee Roasters is a specialty café and roastery located at 1412 Saratoga Avenue in San Jose, California, dedicated to sourcing and roasting exceptional single-origin beans from award-winning producers around the world. The business grew from farmers market pop-ups — including a notable mobile setup operating out of a Tesla Cybertruck at the De Anza College Farmers Market — before opening its flagship café roastery in 2024, which hosts tastings, classes, and community events. Inspired by the reflection of the moon on water, Moonwake brings a calm, minimalist aesthetic to its craft, offering espresso, pour-over, and inventive specialty drinks to the San Jose community.
