FREE Café

FREE Café is a donation-based coffee shop located at 2122 S. Lafayette Street in Denver, Colorado, operating inside FREE Spiritual Community — a non-denominational recovery and spiritual center near the University of Denver. Opened in August 2022 by co-founders Ryan and Tami Canaday, the café serves coffee, pastries, paninis, and nitro cold brew on a pay-what-you-can model, with all menu items technically available free of charge. The café proudly supports the addiction recovery community, serves coffee roasted by Wagon Coffee — a social enterprise employing women in recovery — and hosts weekly events and recovery meetings in a welcoming, shame-free environment open to people of all backgrounds.
