Great Minds Coffee Roasters

Founded in 2019 by husband-and-wife team Chris and Emily, Great Minds Coffee Roasters is a locally owned and operated specialty coffee roastery located in the historic Old Pin Shop on Main Street in Oakville, Connecticut (Watertown). Drawing on Chris’s background as a coffee roaster, the business was built around a small-batch roasting model — sourcing high-quality green coffees from around the world and offering a rotating seasonal menu available for both retail and wholesale customers. Rather than operating as a traditional café, the roastery opens to the public on Thursdays and Sundays, welcoming customers to browse coffee offerings and home brewing equipment, sample freshly brewed coffee, and connect directly with the people behind the roast.
