Florida Ave. in South Lakeland, Florida, founded by Sheyla Marrero-Gonzalez, her husband George Marrero, and their daughter Anshelle Gonzalez — a Dominican family who relocated from Miami and chose Lakeland to build their business and community. The café specializes in guilt-free, protein-enhanced menu items including shakes, refreshers with B12, acai bowls, protein waffles, and mini donuts, with a philosophy rooted in the belief that strong foundations — much like deep roots — empower people to overcome life’s challenges.
