Sips

Sips is a family-owned coffee shop located at 6828 Gulf of Mexico Drive in Longboat Key, Florida, serving specialty coffee, smoothies, fresh-pressed juices, and homemade pastries since its 2023 opening at Whitney Beach Plaza. Co-owned by Justina and Chris Carter, the shop quickly became a beloved gathering spot on the north end of the island and has expanded its offerings with a neighboring gelato shop. Riding strong community support, Sips opened a second Longboat Key location in early 2026 at 3172 Gulf of Mexico Drive, bringing its laid-back, beach-inspired café experience to the south end of the island as well.
