Local Groundz Coffee Company

Founded in 2021, Local Groundz Coffee Company is an independent coffeehouse and café located at 407 N. Greenwood Street in historic LaGrange, Georgia, housed in a circa-1920 home with spacious indoor and outdoor patio seating. Situated directly along The Thread — LaGrange’s multi-purpose walking, running, and biking trail — the shop was built around the goal of creating a community-oriented gathering place, serving organic, fair-trade coffee, fresh bakery items, smoothies, and locally sourced food. Owner Philip Abbott has described a vision of Local Groundz becoming a landmark in the communities it serves, and the café has since become a go-to destination for both locals and visitors exploring the city.
