Sweetwater Coffeehouse

Sweetwater Coffeehouse is a community-centered café located at 2242 Highway 17 in Sautee Nacoochee, Georgia, serving organic and Fair Trade coffees and teas, housemade baked goods, soups, and sandwiches in a warm, welcoming atmosphere with both indoor and porch seating. Owned and operated by Carolyn Hayes since 2008, the shop also features locally made pottery, apparel, and handcrafted gifts from regional artisans, and has long served as a beloved gathering place for the community. Notably, conversations on the coffeehouse’s front porch gave rise to “Transition Sautee,” a local sustainability initiative aimed at strengthening the local economy and reducing dependency on oil.
