Hala Tree Cafe

Hala Tree Cafe is a farmer-owned specialty coffee shop located at 51-666 Kamehameha Highway in Kaʻaʻawa, on Oʻahu’s Windward Coast, opened in 2024 as the first retail cafe of Kona-based Hala Tree Coffee — a 110-acre farm founded in 2012 by Jean and Danielle Orlowski. The cafe is the only coffee shop on Oʻahu serving exclusively 100% Kona coffee, grown, processed, and roasted on the family’s own Big Island farm, offering a true farm-to-cup experience alongside freshly baked pastries, breakfast, and lunch made in-house daily. An on-site Coffee Lab further distinguishes the business by hosting daily Kona coffee tastings and educational courses in brewing, roasting, and cupping, reflecting the team’s deep roots in Hawaii’s specialty coffee community.
