Tradition Coffee Roasters

Tradition Coffee Roasters is a family-owned specialty coffee roastery and café located at 905 Kalanianaʻole Highway in Kailua, Hawaiʻi, founded by Brian Burik — a retired New York City firefighter and 9/11 first responder — who launched the business in 2019 as a coffee club and wholesaler before opening a brick-and-mortar café. The roastery sources beans globally, roasts them on-site, and offers café service, roastery tours, tastings, and coffee education classes, with wholesale accounts at properties including Turtle Bay Resort and the Sheraton Waikīkī. Deeply rooted in community, Tradition actively supports local schools and organizations through its Team Tradition fundraising program, and champions firefighters, law enforcement, veterans, and organic farmers.
