TARY is a Kazakh-inspired coffee house and café located at 111 W. Illinois Street in Chicago’s River North neighborhood, offering a menu of specialty coffees, teas, soups, salads, main dishes, baked goods, and fresh juices rooted in Central Asian culinary tradition. The café opened in October 2023 and distinguishes itself by sourcing organic ingredients both locally and directly from Kazakhstan — including millet, traditional candy sugar, and dried fermented milk products — blending ancient recipes with modern nutrition. With ambitions to expand to cities like New York, Washington D.C., and Seattle, TARY aims to bring authentic Kazakh culture and cuisine to a broader American audience.
