Ixxa Coffee Roasters

Ixxa Coffee Roasters is an independent artisan coffee and plant shop located at 1720 Calumet Ave in Hammond, Indiana, founded in 2021 by husband-and-wife team Jose Marin and Stephanie Mora — both first-generation Americans with family roots in Latin American coffee-growing regions. The shop roasts its Latin America-focused beans on-site using a Diedrich IR-12 roaster, sourcing ethically from importers while working toward direct-trade relationships with farmers, and pairs its specialty coffee menu with a curated selection of houseplants and accessories. Ixxa is known for its warm, community-centered atmosphere, regularly hosting events and pop-ups that reflect the owners’ passion for cultural heritage and regenerative agricultural practices.
