Bovaconti Coffee

Bovaconti Coffee is a locally owned, independent coffee shop founded by Minda Balcius and Justin Jones, originally opened in 2019 in Indianapolis’ historic Fountain Square neighborhood at 1042 Virginia Ave — a building dating back to the 1850s that once housed Bovaconti Jewelers. The shop is a multi-roaster café modeled after an authentic Italian espresso bar, serving expertly crafted beverages, fresh pastries, and locally sourced coffees in a beautifully restored space with exposed brick, painted tile ceilings, and a covered outdoor patio. A second location opened in February 2025 in Carmel’s Arts District, and both locations serve as community gathering places open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
