Wanderlust Coffee Roasters

Wanderlust Coffee Roasters is an artisan specialty coffee roaster and café located at 835 Main St in Lafayette, Indiana, founded by Walt Cornelius, who launched the Wanderlust brand in 2019 after returning from time spent in Seattle. Cornelius, who previously co-founded downtown Lafayette’s Star City Coffee & Ale in 2013, hand-built much of the café’s interior himself, including the bar and concrete lamp, and sources green coffee through Coyoya Coffee and Genuine Origin before roasting on-site at a separate facility in Brookston, Indiana. The approximately 1,400-square-foot café features two distinct spaces — one designed for lively social interaction and one for quiet work — and is decorated with a mural by local artist Zach Medler, reflecting a strong commitment to community presence and local culture.
