Sway Coffee Roasters

Sway Coffee Roasters is a small-batch coffee roaster and café located at 2700 W. 43rd Ave. in Kansas City, Kansas, operating as a sister company to McLain’s Bakery, which launched the roasting operation in 2019 to gain greater control over the coffee served in its bakeries. After outgrowing two previous spaces, Sway opened its flagship 4,000-square-foot roasting facility and public café in the Rosedale/Westwood neighborhood in September 2022, where guests can enjoy freshly roasted coffee on-site or purchase beans for home. The team sources beans through direct trade relationships and specialty importers, prioritizing quality and consistency across its café and wholesale offerings.
