The Whimsical Welcome

The Whimsical Welcome is a mobile coffee trailer based in Bowie, Maryland, founded by Megan Ritter after she unexpectedly lost her federal position welcoming refugees to the United States. Ritter launched the business in late November 2024, offering locally roasted, ethically sourced coffees, teas, and treats — including signature blends like a spiced batch brew and the namesake Whimsical Welcome coffee. Inspired by her background in hospitality and community service, she created the venture to bring a sense of warmth and welcome to her local community.
