Gravel & Grind

Gravel & Grind is an artisanal coffee and bike shop located at 15 East 6th Street in the historic downtown district of Frederick, MD, founded in 2014 and reopened after a brief closure in 2018 in a reimagined 1940s car dealership building. The shop offers craft pour-over and espresso drinks made with locally roasted beans from Frederick’s own ChocoSombra, alongside house-made syrups, artisan toast, and light fare, while also selling, renting, and servicing steel bikes suited for town rides, gravel adventures, and multi-day touring. Gravel & Grind is an active community partner, collaborating with the Downtown Frederick Partnership and local businesses on neighborhood events throughout the year.
