Neighbors Coffee

Neighbors Coffee is a locally owned, small-batch coffee shop and roastery founded by husband-and-wife team Spencer Trach and Lulu Parajuli in January 2023, starting as an at-home roasting business before expanding to in-person sales at the Kentlands Farmers Market in Gaithersburg. The business operates on a “seed to cup” model, sourcing beans directly from partner farms in Guatemala, Colombia, and Nicaragua, then roasting them in-house. In August 2025, Neighbors Coffee opened its first brick-and-mortar café at 1101 Nelson Street in Rockville’s Woodley Gardens shopping center, where it serves espresso and coffee drinks, sells whole-bean bags and locally made pastries, and plans to host community events, coffee tastings, and roasting demonstrations.
