Backstory Coffee Roasters – North Loop is a specialty coffee bar located at 528 Washington Avenue North in the lobby of The Duffey Lofts in Minneapolis’s North Loop neighborhood, opened in October 2022 as the second location of the Saint Paul–based roasting company founded in 2014. The café serves a full menu of classic espresso beverages, batch brew, pourovers, cold brew, seasonal specialties, pastries, and grab-and-go food items within a spacious co-working environment. All coffees are sourced from relationship-focused producers and importers who share the company’s values of quality, sustainability, and care for people.
