Yellowbird Coffee Bar NE is a specialty coffee bar located at 639 22nd Ave NE in the Holland Arts East Building in Northeast Minneapolis, serving quality coffee, teas, kombucha, and pastries in a welcoming, community-focused atmosphere. Founded by owner John Peterson — whose original St. Paul location opened in 2019 and was inspired by a near-death experience and a longing for community connection — the NE location opened in the summer of 2024 as an extension of that same mission. A proud member of NEMAA (Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association), Yellowbird Coffee Bar NE partners with local artists and neighbors, positioning itself as a neighborhood gathering spot for conversation, collaboration, and community.
