Backstory Coffee Roasters – West Side is a specialty coffee roaster and café founded in 2014 and located at 432 Wabasha Street South in the West Side neighborhood of Saint Paul, MN. Originally known as Bootstrap Coffee Roasters, the company rebranded in 2019 when it opened its flagship coffee bar, which shares space with its on-site roastery and serves a full menu of espresso beverages, pour-overs, cold brew, seasonal specialties, and pastries. The company roasts all coffee to order, prioritizes direct relationships with farmers, and makes its coffee available through wholesale accounts, an online store, and its coffee bar locations across the Twin Cities.
