Crazy Mountain Coffee Roasters is a woman-owned specialty coffee roasting business located in Big Timber, Montana, founded in 2021 by Dru Hayes, who grew up in the nearby Shields Valley in the shadow of the Crazy Mountains. The roastery sources beans fresh weekly from nine countries across four continents — including Colombia, Ethiopia, Rwanda, and Sumatra — and roasts them in small batches using a custom-built San Franciscan Roaster Co. machine paired with precision roasting software. With deep family roots in the coffee trade and a mission to craft the finest roasted coffee in southwest Montana, Crazy Mountain Coffee Roasters serves local businesses and ships directly to homes and businesses across the region.
