Founded in 1995 by Gary Karnes, The Coffee Roaster is a locally owned, woman-owned specialty coffee roastery located at 5022 Old Cheney Road in Lincoln, Nebraska, now led by his daughter Sam Karnes. The business specializes in premium small-batch, air-roasted coffee sourced from around the world, roasting daily to ensure freshness, and ships nationwide. A beloved Lincoln community staple for 30 years, the roastery has grown a loyal following largely through word of mouth and supplies coffee to several of the city’s top local bakeries.
