Dam Roast House & Browder Bookstore

Dam Roast House & Browder Bookstore is a neighborhood coffee shop and bookstore located at 554 Nevada Way in Historic Downtown Boulder City, NV, near Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. The business honors the legacy of Ida Browder, a pioneering Boulder City businesswoman who, in 1931, became the city’s first female commercial building owner and opened Browder’s Café to serve workers building the Hoover Dam — the very building the shop now occupies. Co-owned by Misty Magruder, Amber Stephens, and Travis, the shop serves locally roasted coffee, homemade bakery items, smoothies, and new and used books, and was recognized with the 2024 Best of Boulder City Award for best coffee shop.
