Lackawanna Coffee is an independent specialty coffee shop with three locations across downtown Jersey City, NJ — at 295 Grove Street, 140 Bay Street, and 325 Warren Street in the Powerhouse Arts District — open daily from 7 AM to 5 PM. The café got its start with a pop-up concept in Brooklyn before establishing its flagship in Jersey City, and has grown into a neighborhood staple known for its specialty coffee drinks, fresh daily pastries, and welcoming atmosphere with indoor, outdoor, and patio seating. Its newest Warren Street location, completed in 2023 and designed by Brooklyn-based architecture firms Inaba Williams and Kyle May, Architect, features a mezzanine gallery space, 23-foot floor-to-ceiling windows, and 22-foot columns — reflecting the brand’s commitment to thoughtfully designed community spaces.
