Amalie Coffee Co. is a Middle Eastern-inspired independent coffee shop located at 2132 Central Ave SE, near the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Founded by the Awad family — originally from Palestine and longtime Albuquerque residents — the café was inspired by a Yemeni coffee shop they visited in California, and puts a distinctive homemade spin on the concept with in-house baked goods such as baklava, knafeh, and specialty seasonal lattes. Seating up to 80 guests in a warm, contemporary atmosphere and open late daily, Amalie Coffee Co. has quickly become a neighborhood staple on Central Avenue, celebrated for its ever-rotating menu, ethically sourced beans, and strong community connection.
