Little Waves Coffee Roasters

Little Waves Coffee Roasters is a Latina co-owned, women-forward specialty coffee roastery based in Durham, NC, operating as the roasting and wholesale arm of Cocoa Cinnamon — a trio of award-winning brick-and-mortar cafés across the city. Founded by Areli Barrera Grodski and Leon Grodski Barrera, the business grew out of early roots in the NC Mountains in 2010, with the roasting facility officially opening at their Lakewood location in June 2017. Named the Micro Coffee Roasters of the Year in 2022, Little Waves relationship-sources and micro-roasts select coffees from around the world, ships nationwide, and is committed to honoring the people, cultures, and histories behind every cup.
