Honey Buns Coffeehouse & Bakery

Opened in June 2023 by owner Madeline and her partner Mike Johnston, Honey Buns Coffeehouse & Bakery is a cozy, community-focused café located at 509½ Deschutes Ave in downtown Maupin, Oregon. The menu features housemade pastries, hot and cold espresso drinks, savory breakfast items like biscuits and gravy and egg sandwiches, and seasonal lunch specials, with nearly all of the café’s interior built from reclaimed and upcycled materials. Madeline, a longtime Maupin resident with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, received small business financing through the Mt. Hood Economic Alliance to help launch the café, which has quickly become a beloved gathering spot for locals and visitors alike.
