Eremita Cafe

Eremita Cafe is a coffee shop and community gathering space located at 5548 Ridge Avenue in the Roxborough neighborhood of Philadelphia, PA, founded by touring bassist and longtime local resident Phil D’Agostino. The café’s name draws from Roxborough’s rich folklore — “eremita” is Italian for hermit, a nod to the Kelpius Society, a group of mystic hermits who settled the area in 1694. Beyond coffee and pastries, Eremita serves as a cultural hub for the neighborhood, regularly hosting community events such as yoga sessions, open mic nights, and art classes.
