The Ground Rittenhouse

The Ground Rittenhouse is a locally owned coffee shop, bubble tea house, plant store, and gift café located at 120 S. 18th Street in the heart of Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse Square neighborhood. Founded in 2021, it serves as the second location for The Ground team, whose original café opened in the Olde Kensington neighborhood, and offers an eclectic menu of specialty coffees, bubble teas, French pastries, and light bites alongside a curated selection of houseplants, candles, books, and gifts. Designed with a turn-of-the-century French café aesthetic and an emphasis on sustainability — including straws made from dragon fruit and coffee beans — The Ground Rittenhouse has become a beloved community gathering spot that blends quality beverages with a lush, plant-filled atmosphere.
