Brown Bee Coffee

Brown Bee Coffee is an artisan café and bakery located at 404 Benefit Street in Providence’s College Hill neighborhood, opened in September 2024 by owner Ghazi, whose background in construction and design shaped the café’s distinctive, eclectic interior blending Asian, Mediterranean, and library-inspired décor. The café specializes in expertly brewed, fair-trade coffee — including its signature Brown Bee cold brew made with carob, honeycomb, and cardamom — alongside an in-house baked goods program led by pastry chef Alisia Custodio, who trained in the south of France and crafts a rotating selection of artisanal croissants and breads. Designed as a community-centered social space rather than a remote-work destination, Brown Bee intentionally fosters face-to-face connection and aims to bring a distinctive café culture experience to Providence.
