Coastal Roasters

Founded by Lisa and Donald Machado in 2002, Coastal Roasters is a waterfront micro-roaster and full-service café located at 1791 Main Road in Tiverton, Rhode Island, specializing in single-origin and custom-blend specialty, organic, and fair-trade coffees, espresso drinks, teas, smoothies, and locally baked pastries. The business has earned regional and national recognition, including being named a top roaster in New England by Yankee Magazine and appearing in Rhode Island Monthly’s “Best of Rhode Island,” while also being recognized by the Specialty Coffee Association as a top coffee retailer in the United States. Deeply rooted in its community, Coastal Roasters co-sponsors the Singing Out Against Hunger concert series — which has raised $150,000 for local families in need — and regularly donates goods and services to area organizations supporting preservation, education, and the arts.
