Café Babu is an Indian- and Greek-inspired café located at 1044 3rd Ave S in Nashville’s Chestnut Hill neighborhood, founded by Shivani Darsinos and her husband Alexandros as a family labor of love blending their two cultures. The café serves specialty coffees, authentic Masala chai, a signature cardamom-infused Babu Latte, pastries, and evening cocktails and wine, while the name “Babu” is a tribute to Shivani’s grandfather, whose spirit of hospitality and generosity informs the café’s identity. Designed with the intention of fostering leisurely social gathering over solitary work, Café Babu has quickly become a community hub in Nashville, celebrating cultural connection through food, drink, and a warm, nature-inspired atmosphere.
