Independence Coffee Co., located at 2805 Hwy 290 W in Brenham, Texas, is a women-owned, small-batch craft coffee roastery that produces a full range of 100% Arabica coffees, teas, and their signature INDIE Cold Brew line — available as ready-to-drink concentrates and at-home cold brew kits. Founded by Christi and Ragan Bond, the company was named SBA Persons of the Year for Texas in 2019 and supports community initiatives including a licensing partnership with Baylor University to fund preservation of the original 1845 Baylor campus in Independence, TX, as well as the “Gathering Grounds” program, which empowers Brenham High School special needs students to run a school coffee cart and develop real-world employment skills.
