Dilla Coffee Roasters is a Black, family-owned specialty coffee roasting company located at 3823 Ross Avenue in Dallas, Texas, founded in 2021 by Ethiopian immigrants and third-generation coffee farmers Kabede Degefu, Simon Sima, and Yonatan Hailu. The business sources its beans directly from the family’s farms in Ethiopia’s renowned Yirgacheffe region, offering a true “seed to cup” experience by roasting and packaging the coffee on-site in Dallas. In addition to selling whole bean and ground coffees, Dilla Coffee engages the local community through farmers market appearances and traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremonies, bridging Dallas coffee culture with the deep heritage of the country where coffee originated.
