Better Than Coco is a specialty coffee shop, gift boutique, and chocolate destination located in Salt Lake City’s 9th & 9th District, founded by South African creatives Susan Clissold and Kayle Van Zyl, who opened the shop in the summer of 2025. The business was built on the vision of creating an inclusive, welcoming gathering space, offering craft coffee drinks, elevated gifts, specialty pastries, and award-winning Belgian chocolates sourced through a partnership with BE Chocolate.
