Second Cafe

Second Cafe is a community-focused coffee shop located at 813 5th St SW in Roanoke, Virginia, founded by Sadie Smith, Charlie Claus, and Ryan Patton and opened in November 2024. Operating under the motto “community first, coffee second,” the café serves high-quality espresso, filter coffee, tea, and locally made pastries from Breadcraft, while also promoting sustainability through an upcharge on single-use cups and a reusable Huskee Cup swap system. Known for its warm, inclusive atmosphere, Second Cafe aims to serve as a flexible gathering space for the surrounding neighborhood and broader Roanoke community.
