Bonito Café y Mercadito

Bonito Café y Mercadito is a Latin- and Queer-owned coffee shop and market located at 1351 E. Olive Way in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood, founded by husband-and-husband team Daniel and Ismael Calderón. The business grew out of their popular pop-up night market, Aquí Mercado, and was built to serve as a daily cultural hub uplifting Latinx, LGBTQ+, and POC communities through specialty coffee, locally baked pan dulce, and a curated mercadito featuring goods from Latinx and POC artisans. Bonito also hosts weekend community activations with live DJ sets and a no-laptop, no-Wi-Fi policy designed to encourage in-person gathering and connection.
