Leon Coffee House – U District is a Mexican family-owned café located at 1309 NE 45th St in Seattle’s University District, founded in 2021 by Lupe Chavez and Romina Lugo. The two-floor café is known for its vibrant, colorful interior, whimsical latte art, and a menu of Mexican-inspired coffee drinks, horchata lattes, churros, tamales, and more. The business has grown to include a second location on First Hill and has been an active community participant, taking part in the U District Partnership’s annual Cherry Blossom Festival and being featured on the PBS series *The Nosh with Rachel Belle*.
