About

Rivertown Café is a cozy community eatery located at 309 8th Street in Marlinton, West Virginia, inside the historic former C.J. Richardson Hardware building, where original wood shelving, high ceilings, a fireplace, and a free library corner preserve the space’s storied character. Owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Aaron Davis and Nicole Schwarz — both veterans of the restaurant industry — the café serves fresh, house-made breakfast and lunch menus featuring locally sourced ingredients, including coffee roasted by Lori Doolittle of Hillsboro and eggs from Tim Wade’s Farm. Beyond great food, Rivertown Café serves as a true community hub, regularly hosting live music performances, showcasing local art, and welcoming both Marlinton residents and travelers Thursday through Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
